Red Riding Hood movie is directed by Catherine Hardwick and starring by Amanda Seyfried. I think this movie stories base on the little red riding hood, an European fairy tale about a young girl and a Big Bad Wolf. But in this movie there are some difference, such the wolf is not an ordinary wolf but a Werewolf :).
The story revolves around a young woman, her name is Valery (Amanda Seyfried) that lives in small villages. She lives with her parents and the old sister. She have a grandmother that lives alone in the middle of forest and she have boyfriend named Peter. Until someday there are horrible event when the villagers found her sister died.
That is a beginning of mystery behind the murdered. Especially for Valery, she must face in a reality to excepted Henry as fiancee to replace his sister who has died. Then there are more mystery when she meet the werewolf. Would Valery married with Henry ? Why only Valery can talk with the Werewolf ? and Who is the werewolf ?
So three question above are the point of this movie. Just watching this movie soon then you will know the answer he he. And for me there nothing special with this movie because the stories too simple and not to much tension that make us fear or scream :). But I really like the landscape setting of village in the movie, beautiful panorama and romantic nuance.
The conclusion of difference between the fairy tale version with the movies version are in the fairy version there are the clearest contrast between the safe world of the village and the dangers of the forest but in the movie version nothing place that safe because the werewolf is not only live in the forest :).
